Although there is no degree symbol on the keyboard, you can easily put the degree symbol in macOS. In this article, I will tell you how to type the degree symbol in macOS.

Keyboard shortcut to type degree symbol on macOS

Press Option+K keys at the same time to insert a small degree symbol. (For example, 47˚)
Press Shift+Option+8 keys at the same time to insert a slightly larger degree symbol (For example, 47°)

Alternatively, you can insert Degree Symbol from the Emoji & Symbols.

Press Control+Command+Space Control+Command+Space to open the Special Characters dialogue box.

Here, search for degree in the search box and it will show you the degree symbol. Click on it to insert the degree symbol.
