In many cases, you may need to put two pictures side by side in a single photo. All PC platforms and smartphones have a built-in photo editor where you can easily edit photos and get the desired result. For putting 2 photos side by side, you can extend the canvas of one photo in width and then paste the 2nd photo into the blank canvas you extended. But the easiest way to do this is with Canva. Canva is an online tool where you can make posters, social media designs, logos, presentations, and more. In this article, I will show you how to put 2 photos side by side using Canva.

Open Canva and log into your account. If you do not have an account, create one. Canva is free to use. You only need to pay if you use a paid photo, icon, or element. When you are on Canva Dashboard, click Create a Design button at the top left corner.
Now select the design. If you want to create a photo for Instagram select Instagram Post. You can also select Facebook Post or any other type of post you want to create. If you want to have a custom size, select the custom size and enter the dimensions. After you select the design, it will take you to the editor.
I selected Instagram Post. So, here’s the editor I got. Click the upload button at the left sidebar and upload your photos.
After the upload is finished, tap on both photos and they will appear on the canvas.
If you click a photo on the canvas, it will show you markers at the edge to resize and adjust. You can drag photos to any size of the canvas and resize them as per your need.
Once you are done with all the adjustments, you can click the Share button at the top right corner and click download.
This is the final result I got using Canva.
You can adjust photos vertically or any other way you want. There is no limitation to creativity. Canva also provides borders and other graphical elements to make the photo even more interesting. Canva also has Android and iOS apps where you can do the same thing. If you want to put 2 photos side by side on a smartphone, either open Canva in mobile browser or install the Canva app.
