Enable Dark Mode on Instagram for Android
Phones running Android 10 or higher have the option to enable system-wide dark mode. If you enable it, it will get dark mode in most apps. But there is no need to do this when the Instagram app for Android itself offers an option to enable the Dark Theme.

Open the Instagram app and visit your profile. Now Tap the hamburger icon and then tap Settings. Tap Theme and select Dark.
It will enable the Dark Theme on Instagram. If you carefully check the screenshot, I am using dark mode on Instagram using Android’s system wide dark mode. This is the reason System Default is the selected option and my app is dark.
Enable Dark Mode on Instagram for iOS
Instagram app for iOS has no option to change the theme. So, you will have to use the system-wide dark mode that Apple introduced with iOS 13. To enable system-wide dark theme on iPhone, Open Settings app and tap Display & Brightness. Here select Dark under Appearance.

Now open the Instagram app and you will see the dark theme there.

If you also use Instagram for the web, there is an easy way to enable the dark theme there. Open Instagram.com on any of the web browsers you use. And then add ?theme=dark in URL.
