On any social media app, the username is the most important thing. The username uniquely identifies you and this is how people add you to their circle. While creating an account, Snapchat also asks you to select a unique username. Most people don’t get the desired username because the one they like has already been taken. So, they have to settle for something else. What if you also don’t like the username you have on Snapchat and thinking to change it? In this article, I will talk about this.

Now the primary question is how to change the Snapchat username.
Snapchat now lets users change their usernames. But there is one condition. After you change your username, you will have to keep it for at least a year. You can only change your username once a year. Your previous username will keep reserved and won’t be given to any existing or new users.
Open the Snapchat app and tap your profile photo in the top left corner. Now tap the gear icon at the top right corner of the screen. On the new screen, Tap Username.
Here click on the Change Username link. It will inform you that your username can only be changed once a year. If you agree, tap Continue. On the next screen, it will ask you to enter a new username. Once you have selected one, click Next.
It will then ask you to confirm your password to finally change your username on Snapchat.
That’s how you can change your username on Snapchat.
